FAQ

Common questions.

What is the Agito?

The Agito is a free-roaming robotic camera dolly made by Motion Impossible. It carries a broadcast or cinema camera and can run on magnetic tape, on rail, or with no track at all.

How fast is the Agito?

Up to 27 mph in free-roaming mode, and up to 10 mph on MagTrax magnetic tape.

What is MagTrax?

MagTrax guides the Agito along thin magnetic tape instead of bulky rails, so track lays fast and stays hidden on stage. It has a 4-foot turning radius and includes a 6-inch riser.

How much can the Agito carry?

With the Tower fitted, the Agito handles camera payloads up to 50 lb.

Can the Agito run without track?

Yes. It drives on wheels, off-road or on a stage.

Does the Agito come with an operator?

Yes. Every Agito rental includes a trained tech/pilot. A qualified operator is required to run the system.

How much does it cost to rent the Agito?

Agito rental is quoted per production based on your dates, the configuration, and crew. Send your show dates and we'll get you a quote.

What shows have used the Agito?

We run the Agito on live television, specials and concerts, including Kill Tony Live, Nate Bargatze's Christmas special, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cyndi Lauper at the Hollywood Bowl, the Kids' Choice Awards and the People's Choice Awards.

What is the difference between the Agito and a rail dolly?

A traditional rail dolly only runs on fixed track. The Agito can run free-roaming with no track at all, on rail, or on magnetic tape, so it moves through talent and audience without laying visible track.
